THE BEST HOTELS, MOTELS AND RESORTS IN QUEENSLAND AWARDED
FOR EXCELLENCE
The cream of the Queensland Accommodation Industry was recognised
and awarded tonight at the Hotel Motel & Accommodation Association’s
2006 Queensland Awards for Excellence, held at the Royal on
the Park Hotel in Brisbane. The glittering function was attended
by over 350 leaders of the Tourism and Accommodation Industries. |

"This was a great opportunity to relax, have fun and celebrate
a year of incredible achievement by our Accommodation Industry in
providing great services to our customers, jobs to over 100,000 Australians
nationally, and economic benefits to every part of our state",
said Carole Smith, HMAA’s Queensland State President.
"Accommodation business owners, managers and staff across
Queensland have worked hard and done well in occasionally difficult
trading conditions recently. It is always a pleasure to come together
as an industry and publicly recognise and award the best of the
best.
"I'd like to congratulate and thank the entire Queensland
Accommodation Industry for its achievements over the last year,
with special praise and thanks to tonight’s finalists, and
the sponsors who made this process feasible.
"The businesses and people who won tonight’s awards
overcame many worthy finalists and their success is a tribute to
their commitment to excellence in every facet of what they do",
concluded Ms Smith.
