The next port of call on everyones list is the world famous city of Cairns. Cairns has much to offer and this region really caters for Great Barrier Reef oriented activities including diving snorkeling and fishing. To the west lie the Atherton Tablelands with their magnificent rainforests, Lakes and Waterfalls. A trip via the sky rail and back by train to Kuranda is essential in all itinerarys and to the North you must visit the Daintree rainforest, Cape Tribulation, Cooktown, Mossman and the beautiful Mossman Gorge for a swim in a crystal clear mountain river.
